Privacy Policy

Status: DRAFT - needs legal review. This is a plain-English description of what the site does with your information today. It is not final legal text and has not been reviewed by an attorney.

The short version

We collect only what you give us: your email address if you join the newsletter, and the details you type into the intake form if you ask for a fix. We use them to send the newsletter or to reply about your project. We don't sell your information. This site doesn't set its own cookies or run its own analytics.

Intake form (asking for a fix)

If you submit the form at /intake, we receive:

Here is exactly where that information goes:

We use what you send to read your request, reply to you (your email address is set as the reply-to), and, if you go ahead, scope and do the work. The form tells you never to send passwords, API keys, tokens or repo access, and it blocks text that looks like a secret. If you've pasted a secret anywhere, rotate it.

Newsletter signup

The signup form on the home page and the checklist page is an embed from beehiiv, our newsletter provider. When you subscribe, your email address goes to beehiiv, which stores it and sends the newsletter. Loading the form also loads scripts and a frame from beehiiv.com, which can set cookies or collect technical information under beehiiv's own policies. Loading a page with the form connects your browser to beehiiv, but your email address is only sent when you submit it. You can unsubscribe from any email.

What we haven't decided yet

These parts of the final policy are still open and will be filled in before launch:
